Just as life goes when one chapter comes to an end another must begin. The 2013 Klassics-N-Kustomz Show has come to an end and we want to thank all that participated. Now lets talk about 2014, I will begin to post details of next years event here as they come available. 2013 Notables - A special THANK YOU to everyone that made this show a success this year. Despite having a rough start with the weather the day turned out to be pretty successful. The official count of participants is down this year from last year, but that is to be expected with the sun not showing up until between 2pm-3pm. This year the show brought in a total of 26 vendor, just under 200 participants, and just over 10,000 spectators. Thank you again to everyone that had faith that the clouds would part and the sun would shine on... I want Thank Steve Cooper and the parking crew you guys did an amazing job, Dale Herron and the Judging Team they was second to NONE, You guys are the BEST!!! I want to also thank Alicia Owen, Jason Platter, Rick "Jason's Friend" James Turley, April Turley, Nick Abaetz, Victoria Dyck, Iran Wheeler, Grant Richecky, Ray Richecky, Daryl Standifer, Shane Surgent, Jim Herron, Jessica & Ed Stevens, Bill & Cyndi Patterson, Pam Moreland, Josh Hoover, DJ ALEX, Tim Henry & The Ziggs. I pour my heart and soul into this show, but for 5-10 Saturdays a year you guys drop everything your doing and meet to see this thing unfold and then in ONE Saturday you guys all Stop everything and show up to promote a great message and help a great cause, for that I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart without you volunteers I could do nothing...
The show went pretty smooth minus a couple hiccups with electric, needing a few more trash cans, and more food. I have received this feedback and will be working diligently over then next year to make these things come together. Some changes already taking place with the show. There will be No Car Audio Competition next year, there will also be no Motorcycle specific classes. Judging will be consolidated where bikes and auto will be judged in the same awards bracket. We will be going to a TOP 50 as opposed to a TOP 40, We will also be adding 2 more Kids Choice trophies to take our total to 5 Children's Miracle Network Kids Choice Trophies. Stay tuned for more announcements as they unfold for next years show. We strive to get bigger and better every year, you wont want to miss the 2014 Klassics-N-Kustomz Car Show it will be Amazing.
